FSAA announces 2022 awards night and Emerging Leaders Think Tank

Introducing the FSAA Emerging Leaders Think Tank

The idea of the FSAA Emerging Leaders Think Tank stemmed from the very impressive submissions received to our annual FSAA Business Management Scholarship.

During the judging process we identified extremely strong leadership talent that given the opportunity could share their passion and knowledge. On this basis we decided we would add another element to our Professional Development initiatives by introducing a forum of future leaders that would offer researched industry views on relevant matters and issues.

The FSAA Emerging Leaders Think Tank will be allocated a project of industry significance and challenged to address the issue, come up with an appropriate outcome and present it at our annual Foodservice Today & Tomorrow Conference and state-based events.

Our very first Think Tank presentation, “The war for talent – gaining and retaining talent, a genuine issue for our industry” was launched in Brisbane to a room full of industry professionals this month (see photos above) and has had positive feedback as being both relevant and actionable in its content.

Thank you to Xanny ChristophersenPatricia Gimber and Robyn Lu for their incredibly well researched, insightful presentation and Ken Hartley for facilitating the panel.

Thank you also to the industry professionals in attendance as we look forward to further exploring topics that are industry specific and relevant.
