FSAA launches 2023 Mentoring Program

MINNIE CONSTAN
CEO - FSAA

The saying goes that you should never stop learning, and whether you’re starting your food service career or are decades into it, there is always something new to discover - and someone who can help you.

With a core mission of helping to better the nation’s foodservice industry, the FSAA is thrilled to once again open its mentoring program to all members of the FSAA. The 2023 program is now seeking senior leaders who would like to participate as mentors, as well as those in the industry who would be interested in having a mentor next year.

Introduced in 2014 as an endeavour to retain talent and provide avenues for professional development, the program’s focus on partnering industry leaders with emerging talent remains well intact eight years on.

Since launching, the FSAA mentoring program has seen close to 100 individuals successfully complete the program, with leaders at the level of Managing Director, CEO, Executive Directors, as well as National Marketing and Business Development Managers joining to impart their knowledge to those newer to the industry.

A free initiative available exclusively for FSAA member companies, the program is available to all level employees across all sectors within the industry and applicants are matched with mentors according to their educational needs.

From beverages to equipment and from packaging to service providers, those who have taken part in previous programs have credited the experience with helping them to learn new skills and expanding their understanding of the sector.

Interested applicants should submit a formal response which details their reasons for seeking a mentor and the FSAA has committed to finding a mentor for every applicant in 2023. Those interested in becoming a mentor should get in touch with the FSAA directly to discuss participation.

The 2023 Mentoring Program is free to all FSAA members.
