MINNIE CONSTAN
CEO - FSAA

It’s difficult to believe that the first quarter of this year has already passed – we hope the year is off to a great start for you. The FSAA is back and in full swing and I am thrilled to announce that our scholarship program is also back for 2023 thanks to the ongoing support of our Platinum Partners.

The core mission of our scholarship program is to better the nation’s foodservice industry through training and developing our next generation of leaders. Open to members and their teams, applications for the 2023 scholarship are now being accepted.

This year’s program includes the opportunity of an all-expenses paid, live-in General Management program at Melbourne’s prestigious Business School. Valued at more than $20,000, this training is perfect for an emerging leader looking to progress their career, with training that provides a foundational understanding of people management, strategy, finance, marketing and business operations and the way these functions integrate for organisational success.

Experts in each field will share their own insights and experience to help students sharpen their decision making and to equip the successful applicant with a complete framework to understand the complexity and interrelation of management challenges across an organisation.

The scholarship will also provide the participant with the skills and knowledge required to lead a business and a team with a broader perspective and an understanding of multiple business functional aspects.

Other skills to come from the successful completion of the scholarship include:

  • Increased managerial impact through a greater understanding of leadership style and methods.

  • The ability to build robust, resilient teams and foster collaboration through improved people management, interpersonal and influencing skills.

  • High level interpretation ability to understand financial data, and the core financial terms, concepts and tasks that are essential in management.

  • The understanding to align marketing and strategy, identify constraints, and to generate demand to ensure marketing is a driver of organisational growth.

  • The tools and knowledge to create and implement strategic direction through strategic thinking in leadership decisions, and the ability to establish an organisational culture driven by strategic action.

  • The knowledge to implement efficient business operations through the ability to identify and use the tools, techniques and frameworks needed to solve complex business operations.

We hope you take advantage of this incredible opportunity, whether for yourself or a member of your team. Conditions of Entry and the application form for the 2023 FSAA Business Management Scholarship can be found at Professional Development – FSAA
