Second annual Benchmarking Report offers insights into foodservice supplier performance

MINNIE CONSTAN
CEO - FSAA

The wait is over! The Foodservice Suppliers Association Australia (FSAA) is thrilled to announce that the results of our second annual benchmarking survey are now available in the 2023 Benchmarking Report.

After a year of rebuilding and growth in our industry, we have again captured the pulse of the foodservice market.

This year’s survey saw three times more participation than our inaugural survey, reaffirming its relevance and usefulness in our dynamic industry. We are gratified by the greater participation rate this year and extend our thanks to all those who took the time and effort to complete the survey.

Our inaugural survey was timely as it was undertaken following a period of instability for foodservice suppliers due to the impact of Covid lockdowns and the effect of border closures on the foodservice supply chain.

The enduring legacy of Covid seems to be ongoing staffing and supply chain concerns, as the responses to several lines of questioning in this year’s Benchmarking Report make clear.

However, the industry continues to rebuild and the image that emerges from the responses of this year’s survey participants are for the most part optimistic.

As the representative industry association for suppliers to the foodservice market, it is the FSAA’s intention to continue producing the survey on an annual basis and to expand our lines of questioning and content where practicable and relevant.

We believe the Benchmarking Report plays an important role in our commitment to educating not only our members but the broader foodservice market and showcasing a core component of Australian industry. The insights gathered serve as an invaluable resource for the industry and contribute to a more comprehensive picture of the foodservice market.
