Oli & Vine delivers exceptional taste, reliability and consistency you can count on
/Made by chefs for chefs, Oli & Vine is a premium range of chilled fresh products from Goodman Fielder Foodservice. Its products utilise the highest quality ingredients, ensuring not only exceptional taste but reliability and consistency you can count on.
“Goodman Fielder has a long history of producing great mayonnaises and dressings in the retail space, and we decided to capitalise upon our experience and world class manufacturing facilities to develop a range exclusive to foodservice,” explains Goodman Fielder General Manager Joe D’Andrea.
“The idea behind the brand was to create a range of artisanal products that will allow chefs to unleash their creativity”
Designed to provide chefs with products that perform under pressure, elevate presentation and perfectly complement and enhance the flavours of their dishes, the Oli & Vine range has been locally crafted using simple, authentic and quality ingredients like fresh Australian real eggs and Australian canola oil to ensure delicious flavour and thick creamy texture. All are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
“The idea behind the brand was to create a range of artisanal products that will allow chefs to unleash their creativity,” Joe says. Mindful of the need to ensure versatility of application, each product in the range can be used “as-is” straight from the packaging, but is also the perfect base to which you can add your own enhancements to build a unique signature sauce, dressing or mayonnaise.
The initial products in the Oli & Vine range were Whole Egg Mayonnaise and a deliciously creamy Aioli which pairs perfectly with hot chips, seafood, burgers and sandwiches. They have now been joined by three new products – Burger Sauce, Caesar Dressing and Ranch Dressing.
“Our Caesar Dressing doesn’t have that raw garlic aftertaste that you find with some other products”
“Our new Burger Sauce is made with quality ingredients like pure Dijon mustard, real onions, tomato and gherkins and has a tangy, smoky flavour without being overpowering,” Joe says. “We’ve achieved a great balance of flavours and not only will it finish off any burger beautifully, it’s also extremely more-ish, which makes it a terrific dipping sauce for sides like hot chips.”
Oli & Vine’s new Caesar and Ranch Dressings are likewise versatile in application. “Our Caesar Dressing features real Parmesan cheese, anchovies and smoked garlic – it doesn’t have that raw garlic aftertaste that you find with some other products.” Its creaminess makes it the perfect complement to classic dishes like Cobb salad or Chicken Caesar.
Delivering a great experience for your customers
Joe makes the point that the flavour enhancing properties of the Oli & Vine range not only add value to your menu, they can also help you cut down on costs. “When you have flavour enhancers like ours that are not only powerful but consistently reliable, you can manage your protein costs by choosing more economical cuts which you then flavour up with our sauces, mayonnaises and dressings.
“Goodman Fielder is committed to promoting a circular packaging economy and that ties into our overall sustainability strategy ”
“This way you can deliver a great experience for your customers and keep them coming back for more, while at the same time reducing the burden on your cost structure. It’s all about being able to add more flavour into your meals – and our range will work for you across proteins, vegetables and salad components.”
Fully recyclable packaging a feature of new range
And with sustainability a key focus for the foodservice industry and today’s consumers alike, Oli & Vine packaging has been designed to be fully recyclable. “Goodman Fielder is committed to promoting a circular packaging economy and that ties into our overall sustainability strategy – we strive to be environmentally responsible in everything we do,” Joe affirms.
Since launching last year, Oli & Vine sales have underscored the strong demand among foodservice professionals for products of this calibre. “Our Aioli has achieved around 40 per cent growth this year, which shows us that the market is recognising its broader applications and value,” Joe says. “We’ve now extended the range and we’ll probably add a further three to five sauces next year which will give chefs a full complement of Oli & Vine products.”
Offering chefs a complete solution
The range also ties in to Goodman Fielder Foodservice’s broader product portfolio which encompasses 13 different categories. “By bundling our burger buns and artisan rolls with our Oli & Vine sauces and dressings, we’re able to provide complete solutions to our foodservice end-users and continue to add value to their business.
“We’re dedicated to delivering real quality, consistency and reliability as well as the ability to reduce operational complexity and costs while making meals which keep customers coming back.”
