FSAA announces new Chair of Sustainability and ESG
/Gary o’brien
The Foodservice Association Australia (FSAA) is pleased to welcome Gary O’Brien as Chair of Sustainability and ESG, stepping into the role following the outstanding contribution of Eugene Visione who has served our Board and industry for almost a decade.
Eugene’s leadership has helped position FSAA at the forefront of practical, industry-led sustainability initiatives and we thank him for his commitment.
Gary brings a wealth of experience and a strong, pragmatic approach to sustainability and ESG, which are more important than ever for our sector. Foodservice and its supply chain makes us particularly exposed to the pressures of waste reduction, packaging reform, energy transition and responsible sourcing.
Increasing regulation, evolving customer expectations and the need for operational efficiency mean sustainability is no longer a “nice to have” – it is a business imperative.
The challenge for many operators lies in balancing ambition with practicality. FSAA plays a vital role in ensuring our members have a voice, access to insights and pathways to implement change.
Under Gary’s leadership FSAA will continue to drive outcomes that are not only environmentally responsible but commercially sustainable for our industry.
