A new chapter and a strong statement for the FSAA Board

As the Foodservice Association Australia (FSAA) enters 2026, the makeup of our Board sends a clear message about the importance, maturity and influence of the foodservice industry.

Leadership matters – and so does who sits around the table. The FSAA Board is deliberately composed of C-suite and senior executives who are not only deeply experienced but actively shaping the future of foodservice in Australia. These are the decision makers, innovators and industry leaders driving change across manufacturing, distribution and service provision.

Welcoming our new Board members

Gary o’brien

This next chapter welcomes two highly respected additions. Gary O’Brien, Managing Director of Envirochoice, brings deep expertise in sustainable packaging and environmental compliance at a critical time, as ESG obligations and plastics reform continue to reshape the regulatory landscape. His experience strengthens FSAA’s advocacy with state and federal EPAs, ensuring industry insights are practical, informed and commercially realistic.

We also welcome Chris Taylor of Primo Foodservice, who joins the Board as Barton Beverley-Smith steps down after years of dedicated service. Chris’s commercial leadership and firsthand understanding of largescale manufacturing and supply chains further reinforce the Board’s strategic depth.

Thanking our outgoing directors

At the same time, we acknowledge and sincerely thank our outgoing directors – Eugene Visione, Donna Cox and Barton Beverley-Smith. Eugene’s nearly decade-long contribution, particularly across education, sustainability and advocacy, has helped position FSAA as a trusted and credible industry voice.

Continuity remains central, with Ken Hartley continuing as Chair, alongside Jacob Robinson (Vice Chair), Lindsay Yeomans (Treasurer), Wayne Viles, Kristina Czepl, Victoria Landells, Raelene Smethurst, John Hart who continues as Chair of Policy and Advocacy, and Minnie Constan as CEO and Secretary.

The strength of the FSAA Board reflects the scale and significance of foodservice itself – a sector that demands senior leadership, informed advocacy and a united, credible voice.
