Tuga Pastries Launches Mobile App

Sydney's Tuga Pastries, home of the Pastel de nata, has launched a new mobile ordering app powered by Bopple, bringing its Portuguese pastry tradition into a modern, mobile-first customer experience.

The app lets customers browse the menu, customise orders, pay securely, schedule pick-ups and access exclusive app-only offers, fitting into busy schedules whether it's a morning coffee run or a weekend family gathering.

"I started this business because my father had many recipes, and I felt it was important to share them," said Diogo Ferreira, Founder and Director of Tuga Pastries. "Our new app combines customer experience and the digital world by making it easier for them to connect, order and enjoy it, and be rewarded with a loyalty points scheme."

The new Tuga Rewards program lets customers earn points with every purchase, unlocking $5 off at 500 points, $10 off at 1,000, $20 off at 2,000 and $50 off at 5,000. App users also join the Tuga Tart Club for member-only benefits and specials. New users can claim a free Pastel de nata on their first order with the code FREENATA.

The launch marks the next chapter for the family-run bakery, founded by second-generation baker Diogo Ferreira, who has been bringing Portuguese baking traditions to Australia since the 1990s. Tuga currently operates from bakeries in Alexandria and Clovelly, a Portuguese-inspired cafe, and an inner-city production house in Marrickville, with two new locations set to open by the end of the year.
